Professional Bio:
The Nomadic Practitioner
Luca De Angelis is a director, actor, and certified visual artist whose work focuses on the intersection of site-specific performance and psychological research. With over twenty years of experience in the Italian and Spanish cultural sectors, he has developed a rigorous methodology that combines classical theatrical training—from the Ludwig Academy and the Silvio D'Amico National Academy—with contemporary audiovisual experimentation. Currently based between Rome and Sicily, his practice centers on theater as a tool for pedagogical transmission and methodological discovery.
Through his “traveling artist residence” project, Monade Sarai, De Angelis is currently spearheading a journey on foot, utilizing the walk as a laboratory for anthropological and poetical inquiry, and artistic confrontation. By traveling across these diverse landscapes, he engages in a profound cultural exchange, testing and refining his acting, directing, photography and dancing methods within different cultural contexts. De Angelis views the Arts—and the journey itself—as a space to discover the shared human threads that unite us through the very distances that separate us.
